Feud Night

On 12th February, we gathered at Coffee Brew Hub for an evening we fondly called Feud Night. Curated for a small and lively group of sixteen, the event drew inspiration from the familiar format of the television game show Family Feud, but with our own community spirit woven in. The café’s cosy setting and warm lighting created an atmosphere that felt relaxed, friendly and gently competitive.

Here is how the evening unfolded:

A Warm and Thoughtful Welcome

Guests were welcomed with a simple choice of beetroot juice or lemon juice, both served chilled and refreshing. Conversations began almost instantly, as people found their seats in a semicircle arranged around a projector screen. To form teams, each person picked a coloured chit from a box. Soon, clusters of green, pink and yellow came together, laughing as they realised who their teammates were. Names followed with enthusiasm: Team Kempegowda, Team Masti, Team Pete Sauve. Everyone could see one another. It did not take long for strangers to begin feeling like collaborators.

Feud Night Game

Finally, the game began! We invited teams to guess answers to questions that were seemingly mundane. Questions such as what would most people do as soon as they wake up really cracked people up, and many funny answers filled the air. Answers ranged from “I Yawn and go back to sleep” to “Search for my glasses while wearing them ”. It became even more funny when we revealed the answers. There were three rounds of it and finally 'Team Kempegowda' emerged victorious.

The Real Winner of the Event

The victory of Team Kempegowda was marked not by grand celebration, but by wide smiles and playful teasing from the others. Each member received a small gift, and the applause felt wholehearted. Yet, the true winner according to us was everyone who had a good time in the game. Participants compared habits, laughed at shared routines, and occasionally defended their personal preferences with good humour. Overall, it was fun and engaging session.

Wrapping Up

After the competition, dinner was served. Later, the evening carried on with light-hearted Bollywood trivia and a couple of spirited rounds of dumb charades. By then, any sense of formality had disappeared. There were photographs, shared jokes and promises to meet again. As guests began messaging the group later that night, asking for photographs and reliving favourite moments, it was clear that Feud Night had offered more than a game. It had created space for connection. And in that simple togetherness, the evening found its true success.
