Dr. Meeta Kundu was born on 9 January 1971 in Subhashnagar, Bihar, into a humble family connected to the coal-mining industry. Her father worked in the coal fields, and the family lived in a modest colony where luxuries were few but love and togetherness were abundant. Though material comforts were limited, her childhood was rich in values, affection, and meaningful relationships.

Growing up in a large joint family, Meeta experienced the warmth of grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins, and family gatherings that brought everyone together. Festivals were celebrated with great enthusiasm, and every occasion became an opportunity to strengthen family bonds. The environment taught her the importance of compassion, sharing, and gratitude.

From a young age, Meeta was a bright and determined student. She dreamed of becoming a doctor and serving people through healing. Her dedication and perseverance helped her overcome challenges and pursue higher education in homeopathic medicine. She eventually completed her BHMS degree from Singhbhum Homeopathic Medical College, Jamshedpur, turning her childhood dream into reality.

In the year 2000, Dr. Meeta moved to Kolkata and began her professional journey as a homeopathic physician. Like every young professional starting a new chapter, she faced uncertainties and obstacles. Yet life had a remarkable way of guiding her forward. Every difficulty seemed to carry within it a hidden blessing, and every challenge eventually opened the door to new opportunities. These experiences gradually strengthened her belief that life often knows the way better than we do.

A significant influence in her life was her father, a deeply spiritual and compassionate man. He believed that every human being carried a spark of the divine. To him, there was no difference between a wealthy businessman and a humble rickshaw puller. He treated everyone with equal dignity and respect, embodying the principle that humanity itself is sacred.

Like many loving fathers, he was concerned about finding the right life partner for his daughter. Whenever he met people, he would ask if they knew of a suitable groom for Meeta. His innocence and sincerity were so remarkable that he would even ask tea vendors, laborers, and rickshaw pullers if they happened to know someone who would be a good match.

At around this time, a young medical representative named Shubhendu regularly visited the clinic where Dr. Meeta practiced. They knew each other casually and exchanged polite greetings whenever they met.

One day, as fate would have it, Shubhendu was standing outside the clinic when the owner jokingly asked him, “Can you suggest a suitable groom for the doctor inside?”

Without hesitation, Shubhendu smiled and replied, “Why not me?”

The owner laughed and said, “But she’s a doctor, and you’re a medical representative.”

Shubhendu simply responded, “So what? I can still earn a living and take care of her.”

Not long after the wedding, Dr. Meeta became pregnant. What should have been a time of celebration soon turned into a period of anxiety and uncertainty. During the second month of pregnancy, doctors discovered a uterine fibroid that posed serious risks. Medical advice suggested terminating the pregnancy to protect her health.

The news shocked the family. Fear and uncertainty overshadowed what had initially been a joyful phase of life.

Yet amid the worry, one person remained unwavering—Meeta’s father.

His faith in God was absolute. He believed that divine grace would protect both mother and child. Refusing to surrender to fear, he encouraged the family to trust in a higher power. After much prayer, reflection, and careful consideration, the decision was made to continue the pregnancy.

The months that followed were challenging. Every day required patience, caution, and hope. Family members prayed constantly, drawing strength from faith when circumstances seemed uncertain.

Finally, the day of delivery arrived.

Relatives gathered at the hospital, their hearts filled with prayers. They waited anxiously for news, preparing themselves for every possibility.
