Search for karaoke bars in Bangalore online and most of what comes back is either outdated or off-topic; the city's one well-known karaoke legacy venue, Opus's long-running KroaKing night, has since closed, and much of what's left online still points to it. This guide replaces the guesswork with a real, dated answer: which bars run karaoke, on which night, and what a first-timer should actually expect.
Koramangala & Indiranagar
Gilly's 104, Koramangala 5th Block. Sunday night is Bollywood Karaoke here, hosted by a regular KJ and usually free to enter with registration. It's a multi-level bar with both indoor and rooftop seating, and the atmosphere leans firmly toward a party crowd and DJ energy rather than a quiet sing-along. Cost for two runs around ₹1,800–1,900.
What's In A Name, Koramangala 5th Block. Also runs its karaoke night on Sundays, which is worth knowing since it means picking one or the other rather than both on the same evening. This is a smaller pub with karaoke, live music and open mic nights woven together, pet-friendly, and a slightly less DJ-driven crowd than Gilly's just down the road.
Central & New BEL Road
ShakesBierre, Ashok Nagar (Brigade Road). A central Bangalore pub known for hosting karaoke, with cost for two running around ₹1,800. The specific night wasn't consistently confirmed across our sources, so this is one to call ahead about before planning an evening around it.
A dedicated, currently-running karaoke bar on New BEL Road specifically didn't turn up in this round of research. Rather than list a venue we can't confirm, we'd point you to our Bangalore karaoke hub for updates as new spots open in that part of the city.
South Bangalore
1522 – The Pub, JP Nagar. Karaoke is a regular feature here, with cost for two around ₹1,800, though we couldn't confirm one fixed night from current listings, so check directly before booking a table around it.
South Bangalore's karaoke scene is genuinely thinner than Koramangala's right now. If a second confirmed venue in this part of the city matters to your plans, it's worth checking closer to your date rather than relying on an older list.
If It's Your First Time
If a party-driven room like Gilly's or What's In A Name feels like a lot for a first attempt, the more low-key pub setting at What's In A Name is the gentler entry point of the two, with live music and open mic nights alongside the karaoke rather than a full DJ setup. Nobody's watching a scoreboard at any of these places, and a genuine share of the room is there to listen rather than sing.
Or Sing with People Your Age: Marzi's Night
If a bar's party energy isn't really what you're after, our own Marzi Karaoke Night runs monthly in Bangalore, hosted, no pressure to perform, and built specifically for this age group rather than adapted from a younger crowd's evening.
